Our Story
I started out like many of you, living in the city with a big fancy corporate job and all the big fancy city problems that come with it. It looked good on paper, but it felt unfulfilling and suffocating. I knew I needed something different.
So I sold everything and moved to rural Arizona, onto a bare piece of land that had nothing but the dream I had carried for a very long time. That dream became Black Acre Farm, my small, hands-on fiber farm nestled in the foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains.
This place is built on care, purpose, and love for the animals who make it all possible. I raise AKC Anatolian Shepherds, Angora goats, Angora rabbits, and Romeldale CVM sheep, rare and resilient breeds that remind me every day how beautiful slow, intentional living can be.
What started as one spinner’s curiosity grew into a calling to preserve rare breeds and honor the old ways of making. My goal is simple: to create fiber that’s honest, sustainable, and deeply connected to the life it came from.
This is my dream, and I’m building it one day, one animal, and one strand of fiber at a time.
