Romeldale CVM

Romeldale CVM (California Variegated Mutant) sheep are a rare and endangered breed, known for their incredible versatility and beautifully soft wool. Listed as a priority conservation breed by the Livestock Conservancy, their numbers remain critically low, making them one of the rarest sheep breeds in the United States.

We are passionate about helping to preserve these gentle, hardy sheep and their remarkable fiber. Romeldale CVMs produce fleece with a fine, crimpy texture and stunning natural color variations, making it a favorite among spinners and fiber artists. As members of the Livestock Conservancy’s Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em program, we proudly offer CVM fiber to fellow enthusiasts who want to support endangered livestock breeds while indulging in the joy of spinning exceptional wool.

By raising and promoting Romeldale CVMs, we hope to contribute to their conservation and share the beauty of this rare breed’s fiber with all of you! Whether you're looking for raw fleece, roving, or inspiration for your next spinning project, we’re here to help you experience the magic of Romeldale CVM wool.
